This Albacore sashimi with jalapeño and ponzu is what I always order at my favorite sushi restaurant, and now I can enjoy it at home at a fraction of the price. Want to whip up the world’s easiest dish? Grab some sashimi-grade albacore (or tuna), layer with ultra-thin jalapeño slices, and top with a drizzle of ponzu.

Slices of albacore and green jalapeno arranged on a black slate cutting board.

Make sure you have a VERY sharp knife. I like my sashimi cut 1/4 inch thick. However, I have enjoyed both thinner & thicker variants at restaurants. Then, cut a few sample slices and see what you prefer. But make sure you don’t eat it all yourself!
