Hummus is a dip/spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, usually blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.

Ingredients

tahini
zest of one lemon
¼

lemon juice
~1 medium lemon

cloves
garlic
roughly chopped

tablespoon
olive oil

teaspoon
cumin

can chick peas
peeled peas optional
sprinkle of paprika
drizzle of olive oil
Instructions
In a food processor combine the tahini, lemon zest and juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt. Run for 1-2 minutes.
Add the chick peas. Run for 1 minute. Adjust seasonings as desired.
Add water 1 tablespoon at a time if the consistency is too thick until you reach a desired consistency.
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle of paprika.
