Persian Tea Latte - Hot or Iced
This Persian Tea Latte is great hot or iced: bold black tea, fragrant cardamom, and your favorite latte milk poured over ice or served hot.

Ingredients
Chai Latte

Ceylon tea
Assam or Darjeeling

cardamom pods

hot water

milk
any dairy or non-dairy milk, lately I've been using Califa Farms Oat Barista Blend
sweetener
like sugar, ghand, or simple syrup*
For Serving

ice
if serving cold

splash
rose water

fresh mint sprig
Instructions
Bring water to boil. In the meantime, measure 1 tablespoon of black loose leaf tea and crack open 2 cardamom pods. If using a sweetener, you can add it at this time or after serving.

Steep the tea in 3/4 cup of boiling hot water, covered, for 5 minutes.
3/4 cup hot water
Strain out tea and cardamom pods.
To serve hot
: warm and froth the milk and pour over the tea.
To serve iced
: pour over ice and add the milk.
3/4 cup milk,
2 cups ice
Serve with a splash of rose water, fresh mint sprig, and/or sweeten with your favorite sweetener.
